Stone Barn # I

Oil-on-Canvas
36” x 48” x 1.5”

This painting finds its colors in the pink and green tones evocative of the game of golf. Home to some of the most iconic courses in the world, a pandemic threatened to shut it all down.

“Stay home,” they said. We did.

Sunrise inspired hues of light splash across a semi-geometric architectural painting, one that represents a beginning. Whether it be spring or summer, the visual rhythm and primary colors are consistent with vigorous movement in the landscape; the busy start of a new day.

Renewal. Rebirth. Reawakening.

Through the windowpane a panoramic view of a mountain range sees the sun set on another day. A hike to the top is the best way to see beyond the boundaries with colorful abstract abundance.

Lack of limitations can definitely brighten your mood.

While the months leading up to the spring of 2020 were tedious, the wildflowers were enjoying a rebirth. Walks from the main barn to the art studio were awash with new life, vibrant color and thankfully clean fresh air. Surely it was a sign that there was light at the end of the tunnel.

Creative curiosity went on. So did life.

Architecture and landscape are radically reorganized here. It’s an abundance of abstraction. Look into the window for inspiration.

Like a dream, ‘It’s something you know, yet don’t know.’

Cool girl heaven.

‘What’s upside down is down side up.’

Mountainous landscape, architecture and conservation converge in a luscious color scheme; layer upon painterly layer; colors of red orange, yellow green, blue green and red violet.

For a wild child at heart.

Looking from the inside out and dreaming of colors from outer space.

Lifesaving vaccine is on the horizon and about to rescue the planet. Here, the blue spectrum of earth’s oceans is the dominant visual seen from outer space.

Like Neil Armstrong’s famous declaration, “ One small step for man, one giant step for mankind.”

Revive and restore the world.
